I ran across this story I believe in March/April 2009 and it saddened me. I don't know exactly what I was doing or how the link to her website came to my attention, but it did. Jasmina was a 6-year-old girl with leukemia and was looking for a donor. On her website, there was a video of Jasmina and her best friend (see photo below) telling her story and how to become a possible donor in hopes to save her life.
She found a donor, but her body rejected it. In September, the cancer returned and her health deteriorated. According to her twitter, her mother posted, "At 10:55 on January 27th, after a long battle, Jasmina lost her fight with leukemia. Thanks for all of your support."

Being someone who lost a young family member to cancer, my heart, prayers and condolences go out to Jasmina's friends and family.
